Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB 1:72 from Hobby Boss — an injection-molded plastic kit of the British ground attack fighter of the Second World War in an easy-build form.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB fighter and ground attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model belongs to the easy assembly range of kits with a smaller parts count, an engraved surface, a metal propeller shaft, one-piece cockpit glazing and decals for period RAF squadrons. Thanks to its simplicity it suits beginning modelers and a quick weekend build.
The Hawker Typhoon was a British single-seat fighter powered by the massive Napier Sabre engine with its cylinders arranged in an H. Originally intended as a fighter, it made its name above all as a ground attack aircraft: with bombs and unguided rockets it became the terror of German columns, tanks and railways, especially after the Normandy landings in 1944. Its recognition features were the bulky nose with a large radiator under the engine and the heavy armament of four cannons in the wings.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic. Although this is an easy-build kit, the cockpit benefits from washes and from a careful fit of the one-piece canopy. Mask the glazing for clean frames. Spray the British camouflage with an airbrush over a primer base and do not forget the striking black and white invasion stripes if the scheme you choose calls for them.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
