This is a resin set of replacement road wheels for models of the British Daimler Dingo light scout car in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle kit, nor a section of its hull, but a detail accessory that replaces the box-stock wheels with more accurate castings. The wheels are made with a realistic weighted sag in the tires, so once they are fitted the vehicle gives the impression of real weight resting on the suspension.
The casting faithfully captures both the tread profile and the shape of the rim, and the set usually also holds a spare wheel to hang on the hull. The detail is particularly useful for bringing out the contact patch with the road, which injection-molded plastic parts normally leave alone.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting gates and sand the mating surfaces. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding resin. Spraying a coat of primer before painting is recommended.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
