This set from the maker Firma49 reduces the German twenty-liter Wehrmacht fuel can to the small scale of 1:72. It is a resin accessory produced by SLA 3D printing, with which you can load vehicles and bring supply scenes to life in a small scale. It is not a kit of a vehicle but a detail accessory.
The German standard can, known to this day as the jerry can, was designed in the 1930s and owes its lasting reputation to a well-thought-out design. Three handles allowed comfortable carrying and passing from hand to hand, and the side ribs increased the stiffness while leaving room for the contents to expand. After capturing it the Allies copied it as well, and its shape has survived to the present day.
In 1:72 scale the parts are very small, so work with tweezers and in good light. Wash the residues of printing resin off them, separate them from the printing supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Dipping them in hot water will make adjustments easier. Apply a thin primer and then paint with ordinary paints, and washes and pigments will complete the patina.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
