An injection-molded plastic model of the Czechoslovak biplane Letov S-16 in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Brengun. It is a short-run kit, to which the manufacturer has added a photo-etched fret and clear film for the glazing. The model will appeal above all to enthusiasts of interwar Czechoslovak aviation and offers decals for several aircraft.
The Letov S-16 was a Czechoslovak bomber and reconnaissance biplane of the 1920s, designed by Alois Smolik at the Letov military aircraft factory. The two-seat machine was rugged and reliable for its day, served with the Czechoslovak Air Force and, in export versions, abroad as well. One of these aircraft became famous for a long-distance flight that showed what the Czechoslovak aircraft industry of the time could do.
On a biplane, pay attention to seating the wings and the struts accurately; once it is assembled and painted, add the bracing wires, which give the model a realistic look - stretched sprue or fine thread can be used. Glue the plastic with modeling cement for plastic and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting and spray the colors with an airbrush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
