A resin kit for experienced modelers in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Brengun. It depicts the late version of the S-4a, that is the training conversion of the original Letov S-4 fighter biplane. Resin castings are usually accompanied by clear film for the transparencies and a decal sheet.
The Letov S-4 was a single-bay biplane with a metal fuselage and wooden, fabric-covered wings, designed in the Letov design office at the beginning of the 1920s. It entered the service of the newly created Czechoslovak Air Force in 1922 and 1923 as a fighter. Because of production quality the surviving machines were rebuilt at the end of the 1920s into the S-4a training version.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin and work with extraction or a respirator. Apply a primer before painting; the fine interplane struts and the bracing can be added from drawn profiles or rigging materials.
The model is supplied as a resin kit, unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
