Reskit 1:72 LRF-4 rocket launchers (4 pcs) - a resin set

This is a resin, 3D printed detail set from Reskit in 1:72 scale. The package contains four LRF-4 rocket pods meant to be hung under the wings or on the fuselage stations. It is not an aircraft kit but a weapons accessory with which you replace the coarser plastic parts from the base kit with more faithful castings with a fine surface and a well worked rear end of the tubes.

The real subject

The LRF-4 is a French pod for unguided aircraft rockets of 68 mm caliber, used for attacks on ground targets. These rocket launchers were carried above all by French combat aircraft such as the Mirage F1, the Mirage 2000 and the Jaguar attack aircraft. The set thus widens the options for a combat configuration on models of these machines.

Building and painting tips

First wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting, then spray the shades with an airbrush and bring the details out with a wash.
