A finished collector model of the American M26 Pershing tank in 1:72 scale in its postwar Italian guise. A metal build, assembled and painted at the factory.
Responsibility details are not available.
The M26 Pershing is an American tank from the end of the Second World War. Against the machines used until then it was given substantially stronger armor and a 90 millimeter gun, with which it matched the heavy German tanks. The chassis with torsion bar suspension and six road wheels on each side gives the whole machine a low, broad silhouette. After the war Pershings also found their way into the arsenals of allied armies in Europe.
The collector model in 1:72 scale is finished. It arrives assembled, painted and with the markings printed on, so there is no assembly and no spraying. The metal body gives it noticeable weight, while fittings such as the stowage on the hull, the machine gun or the grab handles are plastic so that they keep their fine shape. The finish matches the postwar Italian version of the 1950s.
The model suits a display case, a shelf or a desk. Hold it by the hull, not by the barrel, the antenna or the fenders, which are the most delicate and are damaged by bending. Sweep dust off with a soft brush, and use no solvents or cleaning agents on the paint. Keep lasting direct sunlight aside, as colors fade under it.
For collectors of military vehicles and for anyone who wants a Pershing in a display case without building it. The 1:72 scale is the most widespread in this field, so the model matches the size of other machines of the same scale. It is supplied finished, needs no paints or glue, and these are not included, unless stated otherwise.
