1:72 MiG-21 R - Space Set (for Eduard Kits)

Eduard SPACE MiG-21R (1:72, for Eduard)

This is not a model kit, but a detailed SPACE set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. SPACE combines colored 3D decals of the instrument panels and side consoles printed on backing paper with pre-painted steel photo-etched parts, typically seat belts and small details. The set is designed for the plastic kit of the MiG-21R reconnaissance version from Eduard. The small 1:72 scale places extra demands on precision when fitting the fine parts.

Use

• Paint the cockpit with the interior base color
• Moisten only the backing paper with a sponge and a drop of dish soap, then lift the part off with tweezers — it has no adhesive layer of its own
• Set the part in place and fix it with PVA glue (white glue); do not use a decal softener, as the chemicals attack the printed resin
• Glue the steel photo-etched parts (belts, details) with cyanoacrylate (super glue)

For modelers building the Eduard MiG-21R in 1:72 scale who want an accurate cockpit without hand-painting the instruments. Given the small scale, it suits more experienced modelers.
