Replacement landing gear legs for a model of the Mirage F.1 aircraft in 1:72 scale, intended for Special Hobby kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mirage F.1 is a French combat aircraft that differs strikingly from the older Mirages: instead of a delta it has a swept wing and a conventional tail with a tailplane. Because of this it needed a shorter runway and behaved better at low speeds. It served with the French Air Force and with a number of other users and saw fighter, reconnaissance and attack versions. On the ground it stands on tall landing gear, which is clearly visible on a model.
The set provides landing gear legs for a model of the Mirage F.1 in 1:72 scale and is intended for kits from Special Hobby. It replaces the parts from the kit precisely where the cables, struts and fine graduation of shapes are most visible, that is exactly what gets lost in plastic when scaled down. The extent of the set and the order of assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not polystyrene, so glue them with cyanoacrylate. Cut any excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down. The landing gear carries the whole weight of the model, so glue the joint onto well-cleaned surfaces and let it cure properly; when trying the fit dry, stand the model on a flat board and check that it stands without leaning and with the prescribed attitude. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Paint both the wells and the legs before you close them up, as you will not reach into them with a brush afterwards.
The set of landing gear legs is supplied on its own. The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
