The set holds four Mk.83 bombs with BSU-85 retarding fins. The parts are printed from resin by 3D printing with fine surface detail and serve to complete the external stores of models realistically.
The Mk.83 is an American bomb of roughly the 450 kg (1000 pound) class from the Mk 80 family. The BSU-85 is an Air Inflatable Retarder, an inflatable braking tail that allows release in the retarded as well as the unretarded mode, including from low altitude. Ordnance of this type was carried by carrier-based aircraft such as the F-14, the F/A-18, the AV-8B and the S-3.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate the supports and sand the surfaces down. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding and use a primer before painting.
The set holds resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
