This set contains resin pylons made by 3D printing for the Su-27 heavy fighter in 1:72 scale. It serves as an aftermarket accessory from Reskit for refining the underside of the wings and fuselage, where armament is hung on the real subject. It is not a kit of a whole aircraft but a detail set that is fitted to your base model.
The original plastic pylons tend to be simplified and coarser. The printed resin parts offer a finer shape and sharper edges, so that the stores look more realistic. The set suits modelers who want to complete the aircraft with missiles or drop tanks and need faithful carriers for them.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water so that any release agent disappears. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife, and sand wet and with respiratory protection. It is bonded with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Apply a primer before painting, and the shades go on easily with an airbrush.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory. The base model, glue and paints are not included, unless stated otherwise.
