1:72 Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E Tiger I, fenders is a photo-etched metal set from the Polish brand Aber that replaces the plastic fenders of a model of the German heavy tank.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts intended to replace the plastic fenders on a model of the German heavy tank Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E, known as the Tiger I. Aber is a Polish brand with a long tradition in photo-etched accessories, and this item belongs to its range for the small 1:72 scale.
For production reasons, plastic fenders have a thickness that in reality corresponds to several centimeters of sheet metal. In a small scale that disproportion is especially noticeable, because the fender is visible both in profile and from above. Photo-etched metal has a thickness comparable to paper and looks natural. On top of that it can be shaped: a front lip bent upward, a missing piece or a buckled panel look entirely believable on a Tiger, because on vehicles in action the fenders were among the first casualties of terrain and hits.
Cut the parts off the fret with sharp photo-etch scissors or cut them on a hard surface; never break them out. Bend them over a straight edge, ideally in a bender, and make the joints with cyanoacrylate glue applied with a pin. Before painting, degrease the metal with alcohol and use a primer so that the paint holds. Form any deformation while the part is still loose, before gluing it on.
The tank model itself is not included; the set has to be added to a kit of your own.
