Injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Voroshilovets artillery tractor in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter: a heavy tracked gun tractor.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet heavy artillery tractor Voroshilovets in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. It is a smaller scale with a lower parts count; thanks to slide-mold technology the hull is largely pre-molded, which simplifies the build. The box holds decals. Check the exact number of parts against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Voroshilovets was a Soviet heavy artillery tractor (a prime mover) designed in the 1930s to tow the heaviest guns of the Red Army, of roughly 152 to 305 mm caliber, and to recover damaged tanks. It drew on the running gear components of a tank and was powered by a strong diesel engine derived from the one used in medium and fast tanks, thanks to which it handled heavy loads even in difficult terrain. It was produced in series from the late 1930s, though only in limited numbers. In the Second World War it served as an indispensable mainstay of the artillery and engineer units.
Assemble and paint the running gear before finishing the hull; in this scale the parts are tiny, so handle them carefully and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Soviet vehicles usually carried a uniform protective green; after the base coat and a varnish under the decals, bring out the detail with a fine wash and add dust and mud with pigments, choosing more restrained effects in a small scale.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
