A plastic kit of the Soviet T-70M light tank in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker UM (UniModels). The model is supplied as injection-molded plastic to be assembled and painted, in the style of the other small armored vehicles in this series. The range of parts makes it possible to build a vehicle true to one particular later production version.
The T-70 was a Soviet light tank fielded from 1942, powered by a pair of coupled automotive engines. The T-70M configuration brought a strengthened running gear and wider tracks for better handling. The main armament was a 45 mm gun backed up by a coaxial machine gun; the crew numbered two men. The tank served mainly for reconnaissance and direct support of the infantry.
We recommend liquid cement for plastic and finishing the running gear before you close the hull. The base is a primer, followed by a uniform green (the typical Soviet protective green) laid on with an airbrush. Washes in the recesses and dust or mud pigments on the running gear will bring the look to life.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
