Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the US Navy carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. This model from the Japanese maker FineMolds is among the best-detailed renderings of the Tomcat in its class, with a nicely worked cockpit, landing gear bays and movable variable-geometry wings.
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat was a two-seat supersonic carrier fighter of the US Navy with variable-geometry wings and powerful radar-guided long-range missiles. From the 1970s it served as the main means of defending carrier task forces and became famous in the fighter cover and reconnaissance roles. The F-14A version was the first production variant of the type.
Align the movable wings carefully so that they stay symmetrical. Glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic and use a primer before painting. The typical low-visibility and more colorful US Navy schemes come out well with an airbrush, and the panel lines can be picked out with a subtle dark wash. We recommend finishing the cockpit and the landing gear before closing the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
