The Japanese naval trainer 1:72 Watanabe K11W1 - Shiragiku 1943 (Hi-Tech) from Kovozavody Prostejov, in a more richly equipped release.
Responsibility details are not available.
Kovozavody Prostejov presents the Japanese naval trainer K11W1 under the original name of its design company, Watanabe, with a nod to 1943, the year the aircraft entered service. The Hi-Tech designation for this brand means richer box contents than the standard release of the same tooling offers.
The name Shiragiku translates as white chrysanthemum. It was a school aircraft used to train navigators, bombardiers, and radio operators of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The deep fuselage with a glazed cabin seated an instructor and several students, and power came from a lower-powered radial engine. The design originated at the Watanabe Tekkosho company, which was absorbed during the war by Kyushu Hikoki, which is why you will encounter both names for the same type. The prototype flew at the end of 1942, and production aircraft appeared the following year.
The extensive glazing is the main task of the whole build. It is worth finishing the interior down to the last detail, since it will really be visible, and masking the frames gradually, starting from the narrowest strips. The green upper coat with bare metal on the underside stands out when you insert a thin, soft transition between the two surfaces.
The package includes only the parts and building materials, not paints, glue, or tools.
