The pitot tube for the XB-70 Valkyrie in 1:72 scale is a turned metal replacement part from the Polish maker MASTER that takes the place of the fragile plastic part and gives the model both accuracy and durability.
Responsibility details are not available.
This accessory from the Polish maker MASTER is a precisely turned metal pitot tube for a model of the experimental North American XB-70 Valkyrie bomber in 1:72 scale. It replaces the corresponding plastic part from the kit; it is a detail accessory, not a whole model.
The XB-70 Valkyrie was an American six-engined experimental bomber capable of flying at more than three times the speed of sound. The long pointed pitot tube on the nose was one of its characteristic features, and in plastic it tends to be thin and easily damaged. The turned metal part is more faithful, straighter and far more durable.
Clean the part up and bond it into the nose with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the metal before painting and use a primer for good adhesion. The precisely turned tip stands out above all on the finished model.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
