Vallejo Mecha Color Black Wash

The black acrylic wash from the Mecha Color line is ready for immediate use and serves to emphasize engraved lines, seams and details strongly on robotic, sci-fi and gunpla models as well as on ordinary vehicles. The paint is water-based, non-toxic and odorless, and comes in a 17 ml bottle with a dropper. The black shade creates the strongest contrast, ideal on dark surfaces and everywhere you want bold, sharply legible panel lines and deep shadows.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before and during work.
• Apply it with a brush into panel lines and recesses, and once it has flashed off wipe the excess with a cloth moistened with water.
• It works best on a smooth or glossy base, so coat the surface with gloss varnish beforehand.
• It is thinned and the tools cleaned with water; it dries fast to a flat surface.
