An injection-molded plastic kit of the modernized 2S19-M2 self-propelled howitzer in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model faithfully reproduces the characteristic shape of the large turret and the extensive running gear, and it comes as an unassembled and unpainted set with a high part count. It is a more demanding build intended for more experienced modelers.
The 2S19 Msta-S is a Russian 152 mm self-propelled howitzer built on a tracked chassis. The modernized M2 version brought an improved computerized fire control system, which automates both loading and laying and raises the rate of fire. The vehicle combines the firepower of heavy artillery with the mobility of a tracked carrier and is one of the modern means of artillery support.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the lower part of the hull first, before the hull is closed up and the turret fitted. Apply a primer to the model with an airbrush and then the topcoat; create mud and dust effects with washes and pigments on the running gear and the lower surfaces. Leave the long barrel and the fine parts until the end so that they are not damaged during handling.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
