The KAB-1500L guided bomb in 1:32 scale is a 3D printed replica of underwing armament from Temp Models. An addition to a model aircraft, not the model itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings a 3D printed replica of the KAB-1500L guided bomb in 1:32 scale from Temp Models. It is a heavy laser-guided bomb, that is armament for strike aircraft against hardened structures. It is not a model of an aircraft but underwing armament.
The guided bombs of the KAB series came about from ordinary unguided bombs by the addition of a guidance unit and control surfaces. The aircraft carries them on a pylon just like an ordinary bomb, but instead of a ballistic fall the bomb is corrected toward the target after release. Typical of them is a long cylindrical body with a cruciform arrangement of surfaces and with a pronounced unit at the front or at the rear. The version designated L is semi-actively laser guided, so the target has to be illuminated by a laser beam for the duration of the fall.
The parts are printed from resin and are held only by thin supports. Cut them off with a sharp scalpel as close to the part as possible, sand the marks down with fine sandpaper and protect your airways while sanding. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint holds longer on a smooth print if you lay a thin coat of primer under it. Paint the underwing weapons separately and glue them onto the model only after the landing gear and the cockpit are finished.
The set is an addition to building a model, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, and glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
