AS-5 Light Blue (Luftwaffe) 100ml

Tamiya AS-5 Light Blue (Luftwaffe) — a lacquer spray for aircraft, 100 ml

A spray paint from Tamiya of the AS range holding 100 ml. The AS range is developed specially for the shades of historic and modern aircraft. It is a synthetic lacquer which dries quickly to a smooth, even surface. The shade Light Blue (Luftwaffe) is the light blue typical of the lower surfaces of Luftwaffe aircraft in the Second World War. It is not a kit but a paint for finishing the surface. The spray is ready for immediate use, with no thinning and no airbrush.

Use

• The light blue finish of the lower surfaces of models of Luftwaffe aircraft
• Even coverage of the surfaces straight from the can, with no need for an airbrush
• It is applied in thin coats from a distance of about 25–30 cm onto a clean, degreased surface; ideally over a primer
• It follows on from the upper camouflage shades of the AS range for the Luftwaffe; the transitions between the areas can be refined with an airbrush
• Once it has dried, the panel lines and the detail can be picked out with enamel paints and a wash, which will not disturb the lacquer layer

Who it is for

For aircraft modelers who build German machines of the Second World War and want faithful light blue lower surfaces. Suitable for experienced modelers and for beginners who can handle sprays.
