Art Scale ASK Clear – Two-Part Clear Epoxy Adhesive, 25 g

A two-part epoxy adhesive from Art Scale. It consists of a resin and a hardener that are mixed before use; only mixing starts the chemical curing. The resulting bond is clear, hard and strong and resists vibration as well as common solvents. A key advantage over cyanoacrylate glue is that epoxy does not fog clear parts — it does not create a white film the way cyanoacrylate does, so it also suits joints that are visible: canopies, windows, clear optics, transparent stands. It bonds dissimilar materials, which otherwise hold together poorly, equally well. Package size 25 g.

Use

• Mix the two components in the prescribed ratio on a clean surface and stir until fully homogeneous — an incompletely mixed batch will not cure properly.
• Mix only as much glue as you will use right away; once mixed, you have a limited working time.
• Apply a thin coat to one surface, fit the parts together and hold them in place until it cures (with a clamp, a rubber band or tape).
• Ideal for gluing clear parts and for joints between dissimilar materials (for example metal, resin, hard plastic, glass).
• Also suited to stressed joints, where cyanoacrylate glue would be too brittle.
• Wipe away any excess uncured glue before it cures; once cured, the joint can be sanded.

For modelers who need a strong, unobtrusive joint where cyanoacrylate glue fails or leaves milky traces — typically with clear parts, combined materials and stressed spots. It works equally well with plastic models, resin and 3D-printed accessories, and metal parts and stands.
