Brass square rods 1.0 mm, 245 mm (2 pcs) — Aber

This is not a kit but a stock material for modelers. The package contains two straight brass rods of square section with a 1.0 mm side and a length of 245 mm. They serve for building your own parts (scratch-building), strengthening joints, making frames, reinforcement, grab handles or structural elements that are not part of the basic kits.

What the material is for

  • Making your own details on aircraft, military and ship models.
  • Strengthening glued joints and stressed places thanks to the strength of the metal.
  • Replacing fragile plastic or overly soft parts with an accurate section.

Usage tips

  • Cut brass with sharp metal nippers or a fine saw and level the ends with a file.
  • Make the bends over an edge or in a jig, so that they stay sharp and clean.
  • Bond with cyanoacrylate glue; for firm joints soldering is also possible.
  • Before painting, degrease the metal and apply a primer for metal surfaces.

Who it is for

For advanced modelers and diorama builders who make their own details and do not rely only on the contents of the box.

This is a modeling material, not a model. Tools, glue and paints are not included in the package.
