A round brush with synthetic filaments from the detail line of Vallejo in size 2/0. You are buying the tool itself; it is not a kit and not a paint. The tip is drawn to a fine point and is intended for places where an ordinary detail brush is no longer enough.
Brush sizes are given in descending order: 2, 1, 0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0. Fractional sizes are not larger but smaller. This brush is therefore finer than the Round Synthetic No. 0. Choose according to what you are painting:
A finer point has its price as well: it holds less paint, so you will be loading it markedly more often and it will not help you with a long continuous line. Vallejo also makes detail round brushes in further sizes, including even finer fractional ones.
A fine point is sensitive to two things. First: dip only the tip into the paint, never the whole length of the filament up to the ferrule; dried paint at the root is the most common reason a brush ends up in the bin. Second: wash it out immediately after work, acrylics with water, lacquer or enamel with the corresponding thinner, and above all never leave it standing tip down in a jar of thinner. Store it with the filaments up, so the point does not deform. Synthetic filament is more resistant to aggressive thinners than natural hair, but it will not take dried paint.
