A product from the CL range of Mr.Color, the manufacturer's part number CL09, the name Smooth Pearl Coat. The word Overcoat says that this is a coat applied over finished paint, not a covering shade. By its name the pearl effect is fine and the finish gloss, so once dry the surface reflects light and changes its look with the angle of view.
Let the base paint dry properly and only then apply the overcoat. Stir the contents of the bottle thoroughly before the work, as the pearl particles settle to the bottom and without stirring they are distributed unevenly over the surface. Work in several very thin coats and watch how the effect builds up; one thick coat will create patches and fog the shape beneath it. It is thinned with the thinner meant for the Mr.Color range, not with water, and the same thinner is used to clean the airbrush and the brush straight after the work.
Pearl looks different on a light base and different on a dark one, so always spray a test patch onto an offcut of plastic with the same base as the model has. The overcoat is not meant to replace the paint underneath, only to give it a cast, so choose the shade in advance. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the particular procedure, pressure and thinning.
The package holds the product only. The paints, the thinner, the brushes, the airbrushes and a model are not part of it, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and store the container carefully closed and out of the reach of children.
