A decal sheet for a model of the Su-25 ground-attack aircraft in the colors of the Russian aerobatic team that performs under the name Heavenly Hussars, in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor an accessory part but a separate sheet of markings, which replaces the decals from the box.
The Su-25 is a single-seat ground-attack aircraft intended for the direct support of ground troops, with an armored cockpit and two engines in nacelles along the sides of the fuselage. The Russian Air Force uses it for an aerobatic team as well, whose machines carry a striking finish different from the combat aircraft. A ground-attack aircraft in a display scheme is an unusual subject for a modeler, because it differs fundamentally from the dusty frontline machines. It is precisely the contrast that makes such a model interesting.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss surface; on a matte area a white film forms under them. Leave the sheet in the water only briefly and move the piece into place with a soft brush. Blot the excess water away and let everything dry thoroughly. Finally give the area a coat of varnish to the degree of gloss you want, so that the edges disappear.
The sheet is supplied without a kit. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
