DENSE AUTUMN TUFTS 8MM

Dense Autumn Tufts 8 mm (AK interactive)

Autumn grass tufts 8 mm high, in a dense version. The word dense is the essential thing here: unlike a sparse tuft, through which the ground is visible, this type forms a compact clump with closed growth. The practical consequence is simple - a dense tuft can cover what is meant to be hidden. An imperfect transition between terrain materials, a gap, a remnant of glue, the edge of a casting. At the same time, several dense tufts side by side quickly make up a continuous overgrown area, for which far more sparse tufts would be needed.

Use

• Use a dense tuft where the growth is to look closed: overgrown corners, untended edges, areas around ruins and fences.
• Eight millimeters is a taller medium height - combined with the density it creates noticeable bulk, so use the tufts with judgment.
• Alternate them with sparser tufts and with bare ground; a uniform area of equally dense tufts looks like a carpet.
• The autumn tuning goes well with fallen leaves, mud and dry vegetation; in a fresh green scene it suits more as an accent.
• Always thin out the edges of a clump, so that the growth runs into the rest of the terrain instead of ending in a sharp edge.

Who they are for

For modelers who build an autumn diorama or a scene of an abandoned and overgrown place, and for anyone who needs to cover an imperfect transition in terrain quickly and credibly. The dense variant saves work everywhere sparse tufts would have to be laid in large numbers.
