Metallic Green (Metallic), acrylic metallic paint 10 ml

Metallic Green (Metallic) is a green shade with a metal effect from the Gunze Aqueous Hobby Color acrylic line. The binder is water-thinnable, so the paint thins with water or with the acrylic thinner of the same line and the tools are cleaned with water right after the work. The bottle holds 10 ml.

Use

• The metallic pigment sinks to the bottom, so stir the contents repeatedly before and during the work.
• Prepare the base as smooth as you can, because a metallic paint brings out every scratch and every mark of abrasive.
• Spray several thin coats, as one heavy coat creates patches and an uneven sheen.
• Leave it for the end of the painting sequence, because metallic surfaces are hard to mask and to overspray.

What to watch out for

Gunze offers three mutually immiscible chemistries: the acrylic Aqueous line, the lacquer Mr.Color and the acrylic Acrysion. Each has its own thinner and must not be mixed with the others. This shade is a water-thinnable acrylic, and lacquer and cellulose thinners do not belong on it. Once dry it is worth sealing the surface with a varnish compatible with acrylics, because metallic coats are sensitive to abrasion.
