A resin K-36L ejection seat in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. In a small scale the seat is the only piece of the cockpit that is really visible under the canopy, and the plastic version from a kit tends to be coarse and without belts. Printing in resin manages the shell, the rests and the harness in one part. It is not an aircraft kit but a replacement part.
K-36 is a family of Soviet and Russian ejection seats from which several differently equipped versions came. The letter L designates a lighter version, used on the attack aircraft of the Su-25 line. A lighter seat makes sense on a machine where every kilogram is saved in favor of armor and load. On a model the individual versions differ mainly in the shape of the headrest and in the arrangement of the belts.
Release the seat from the supports with a new blade and level the surface underneath it. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the base shade, lift the edges with a dry brush and darken the recesses with a tone. Paint the belts in a different tone and suggest the buckles with a fine tip.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
