A spare GT65F blade for the Mr. Line Chisel GT-65 scriber. A sharp blade takes the material away by itself and the line it leaves stays clean.

GT65F is a spare blade for the Mr. Line Chisel GT-65 scriber, that is for the tool used to engrave and restore panel lines in plastic. The blade is a consumable part: engraving dulls it, and from that moment it goes its own way rather than the way you guide it.
A sharp blade takes the material away by itself and only has to be drawn lightly. A dull blade tears the plastic rather than cutting it, leaves burrs at the edge of the groove and, under greater pressure, slips off the line. A scratch across a finished surface then has to be rescued by filling, sanding and repainting, which is far more work than changing the blade. A fresh blade is also safer, because engraving with it needs no pressure.
Mark out the route of the line with guide tape and draw the blade along its edge. Pull lightly and repeatedly, adding depth stroke by stroke, and do not press, because pressure leads the blade aside. Clear the removed material away as you go, otherwise it lifts the blade. Finally, go over the finished line with fine abrasive paper so that the burrs along the edges disappear.
Check the cutting width on the packaging so that the new blade matches the one you have been engraving lines with so far. The package contains a spare blade; the GT-65 scriber itself is sold separately, unless stated otherwise.
