The R-24R guided missile 1:32 is a 3D printed resin replica of a Soviet radar-guided medium-range air-to-air missile in 1:32 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the Soviet R-24R air-to-air guided missile in 1:32 scale. It is an accessory for the underwing armament, not a model of an aircraft. The sharp leading edges of the fins and the definition of the seeker head come out of the print at a thickness that neither a casting nor an injection-molded part can reach.
The R-24R is a Soviet medium-range air-to-air missile with semi-active radar guidance, which came about through a deeper reworking of the earlier R-23. It was the main armament of the MiG-23ML fighter and its further versions. It was carried paired with the heat-guided R-24T, so that the pilot had two methods of guidance against a target. Against its predecessor it had both greater range and greater resistance to jamming.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
