The R-98R guided missile 1:32 is a 3D printed resin replica of a Soviet air-to-air missile in 1:32 scale. It will replace the simplified part from a kit or complete a diorama with the ground preparation of an aircraft.

The set contains a 3D printed resin replica of the Soviet R-98R air-to-air guided missile in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for the underwing armament. A resin print holds the sharp edges of the fins as well as the fine detail of the seeker head, which an injection mold cannot manage in this scale. Temp Models concentrates on Soviet and Russian military equipment.
The R-98R belongs to the R-98 family, known in the West as the AA-3 Anab. It is a large missile with semi-active radar guidance, intended for the interceptors of the air defense. It was carried by the Sukhoi Su-15 and the Yakovlev Yak-28P, as a rule paired with the infrared R-98T version, so that the pilot had two different methods of guidance against one target. The family came about through the development of the earlier K-8 missile.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
