The R-98T AM guided missile 1:32 is a 3D printed resin replica of an infrared-guided Soviet air-to-air missile in 1:32 scale. It will complete the underwing armament of a model interceptor.

The set brings a 3D printed resin replica of the Soviet R-98T air-to-air guided missile in 1:32 scale, which the manufacturer lists under the designation R-98T AM. It is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for the underwing armament. A resin print holds the fine definition of the seeker head as well as the thin surfaces of the stabilizers, which are lost in injection-molded plastic in this scale.
The R-98T is the infrared-guided version of the R-98 family, known in the West as the AA-3 Anab. It served on the Sukhoi Su-15 and Yakovlev Yak-28P interceptors, which carried it paired with the radar R-98R version. A pair with different guidance raised the chance of a hit in a jammed environment. The heat-seeking head was recognized by its glazed tip.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Assemble and paint the weapons separately and glue them onto the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces are not rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
