Kh-29L guided missile, 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin replica of the heavy Soviet air-to-ground guided missile with laser guidance, in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds a 3D-printed resin replica of the Soviet Kh-29L air-to-ground guided missile in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for the external stores. The print holds the large control surfaces and the fine detail of the seeker head in the nose.
The Kh-29L is the laser-guided version of the heavy Soviet Kh-29 air-to-ground missile with a large warhead. The target has to be illuminated by a laser throughout the flight, either from the aircraft that launched the missile or from another source. Against the television version the seeker head is shaped differently, so the two can be told apart on a model. The missile is intended against hard targets such as bridges, hardened aircraft shelters and concrete structures.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Assemble and paint the armament separately and glue it to the pylon only once the varnish has dried, so that the fine surfaces do not get rubbed.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
