Extracting sanding dust right at the part

Dust from sanding resin and filler lodges in engraved lines, settles in the corners of cockpits and, when you spray, lifts exactly where it gets in the way. The portable HC-V vacuum takes it away at the spot where it is created. The turbine spins at 35 thousand revolutions per minute and offers two levels of suction, 3000 and 6000 pascals. The housing is made of ABS and measures 56 x 56 x 250 millimeters, power comes from a pair of cells with a capacity of 2600 milliampere-hours, and charging is handled by a USB Type-C connector.

What is in the box

Besides the device itself you will find a brush nozzle, an extension tube, a hose with a nozzle for blowing, a charging cable, a fabric case and instructions.

Practical use at the bench

The brush nozzle cleans a surface after sanding without blowing the dust around the room. The extension tube suits hard-to-reach places between parts, while the blowing mode drives the residue out of deep holes and from the space under an instrument panel. Before spraying it pays to go over the whole model, because every speck under the paint shows later.

Maintenance

Empty the container after every longer session, because fine dust otherwise clogs the filter element and the suction drops noticeably. The element can be tapped out and rinsed if necessary, but it may be put back only when it is completely dry. Comb the fibers out of the brush from time to time, because that is where the dust clings most. The device is not intended for wet dirt or for solvent residue.
