Unlike a rotary sander, the head moves rapidly back and forth and so imitates the natural motion of hand sanding — only without tiring your hand and always at an even rate. That makes it suitable for flat surfaces, for transitions and for fine final polishing with no risk of digging in. It charges over USB-C and takes sanding heads of various shapes fitted with abrasive papers.
