R-95Sh engine exhaust nozzles for the Su-25 in 1:48 scale are a 3D-printed resin accessory from Temp Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of exhaust nozzles for the R-95Sh engines of a model of the Su-25 attack aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. The nozzle is clearly visible on a model, because the engines sit on the sides of the fuselage and their outlets are low above the ground. Printing in resin manages the shape and the internal structure in one piece. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement parts.
The R-95Sh is a turbojet without an afterburner, that is a plain and rugged powerplant chosen precisely for an attack aircraft that works low over the battlefield. It does not need supersonic speed, but it has to take a hit, dust and operation from field surfaces. The nozzles are therefore short and simple and they lack the assembly of moving petals that fighter engines have. On a model it is a detail that sets the type clearly apart.
Release the nozzles from the supports with a scalpel and level the mating edge on abrasive paper on glass. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the inside before you fit the part to the fuselage. On an attack aircraft the area around the nozzle tends to be sooted and dirty, so faint dark weathering drawn back along the airflow suits it.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
