The R-15B-300 engine nozzles for the MiG-25 P, PD and PU in 1:72 replace the plastic nozzles from the kit with finer printed parts. An accessory for a model, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detail set from the Russian manufacturer Temp Models in 1:72 scale, printed from photopolymer. It holds the exhaust nozzles of the R-15B-300 engines in the version for the MiG-25 P, PD and PU interceptor and training aircraft. It serves as a replacement for the plastic nozzles from the kit and does not make up an aircraft model itself.
The MiG-25 P interceptors and the upgraded PD made up the backbone of Soviet air defense, while the two-seat PU served for training. They are powered by two R-15B-300 jet engines with afterburners, whose large variable nozzles rank among the most striking features of the aircraft's rear end. The interceptors differ from the reconnaissance versions in their equipment and details, so it is right to reach for a set cut precisely for them.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pad they leave carefully, because every unevenness shows in the mouth of a nozzle. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. The inside of the nozzle looks best in metallic shades with heat staining added; metallic paints go on over a smooth gloss base and are harder to mask, so leave them for last. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
