A resin set of launchers and pylons for a model of the upgraded Su-25SM ground-attack aircraft in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. These are the parts the stores under the wing hang from and are fired from. A plastic kit usually simplifies them, while the resin print manages even the guide rails and the small locks. It is not an aircraft kit.
The Su-25SM is the upgraded version of the ground-attack aircraft, which received new equipment for navigation and for working with its armament. With that, the range of stores the aircraft carries grew as well, and so the fit of the pylons differs too. For a modeler that means the mounts from the baseline version need not fit the upgraded aircraft, and that getting them right decides how faithful the whole underside of the model is.
Release the parts from the supports over a work mat and level the seating faces on abrasive paper laid on glass. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the pylons separately from the airframe and fit them only once they are painted, otherwise masking gets needlessly complicated. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
