For this set the manufacturer gives finely detailed nose and braked wheels in the weighted state and a nose gear mudguard of the correct shape. It replaces the plastic wheels from the kit, but it does not make up an aircraft model.
The MiG-29 is a Soviet twin-engine tactical fighter powered by a pair of RD-33 turbofan engines with afterburners. It was designed to operate from less prepared surfaces as well, which is matched by robust landing gear with a prominent mudguard on the nose leg that protects the engines from ingesting debris. It is precisely that mudguard and the weighted tires that belong among the details plastic kits often simplify.
Cut the print supports away with a scalpel and sand the pad they leave, ideally on the side that sits on the ground. Glue the wheels with cyanoacrylate glue, that is with super glue. Lay down a filler primer before painting. Do not paint the tires pure black; a very dark gray with a lighter dust pigment on the sidewalls and in the tread is better. Sanding is best done wet and with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
