Wheels for the Su-25, 1:48, 3D version is a 3D-printed resin set of wheels for a Su-25 model in 1:48 scale, designed for the 3D-printed landing gear legs from Temp Models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This 3D-printed resin set holds the nose wheel and the main wheels of a Su-25 model with the deformation from the weight of the aircraft modeled in, the brakes and a correctly shaped nose leg fender. It differs from the set of the same name without the 3D suffix in being designed for the 3D-printed landing gear legs from Temp Models rather than for the legs from the kit.
The Su-25 is an attack aircraft intended for close support of ground forces, built to operate from field surfaces. The landing gear is sturdy, with low-pressure tires and a prominent fender on the nose leg against stones and mud. The disc brakes of the main wheels are clearly visible on a parked machine and are among the details that an injection mold simplifies. On machines in combat use the landing gear tends to be dusty.
Wash the 3D-printed parts in warm soapy water first, to get rid of any print resin residue. Cut the print supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as you can and sand the marks away with respiratory protection. Resin does not bond with polystyrene cement, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold well on the smooth print. Fit the wheels with the weighted deformation so that the flattened area of the tire sits on the base, otherwise the model will not stand naturally.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
