A resin set of landing gear wheels for a model of the Su-35 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. Printing in resin renders the tread pattern and the shape of the hub without the parting line that a plastic wheel always has down the middle. It is not an aircraft kit but replacement parts for your own model.
The Su-35 is the most capable single-seat machine of the Su-27 family. Against the original fighter it received a new airframe without the dorsal airbrake, more powerful thrust-vectoring engines and a higher take-off weight. The landing gear had to match: it carries a heavier machine and the tires work at a higher pressure. On a model the wheel is one of the few parts the viewer studies from every side, so replacing it pays off.
Cut the supports off with a scalpel and level the mating spot, so that the wheel sits square to the leg. Wash the resin in lukewarm soapy water before painting. Spray the tire a very dark gray and the hub separately, following the real thing, and use a circular mask on the transition. A thin layer of dust on the lower part of the tread gives the wheel some weight.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
