This shade is not one of the camouflage tones derived from military standards. It is a clean, striking green of the kind carried by tractors, agricultural machinery, the fire service of some countries, racing machines or civilian aircraft. That is exactly why it also suits card models, packaging and small items in a diorama, where something is meant to catch the eye.
The range is built on a water-thinnable acrylic binder, so working with it does not fill the room with solvent fumes and you can wash up after yourself before the paint dries. Once cured, however, the film is durable and takes further coats. For spraying, the maker's own thinner suits best and keeps the flow smooth; water alone loosens the binder too much and the paint tends to run into engraved lines.
Before opening, let the jar stand upside down for a while and then stir the contents thoroughly rather than shaking them. Spray in several thin coats with a short pause between them, and with a brush lay the paint down in one direction without going back over a stroke until it has set. Over a well-prepared base the paint sits evenly and keeps fine detail legible.
Painting is done after the parts have been assembled and degreased; the shade itself has no bearing on that preparation.
The paint becomes touch dry within a few minutes, but the binder takes considerably longer to cure fully and cannot be hurried. Until then the film is soft, so it is better not to handle or mask the part. In damp, cold conditions the time gets longer.
Wash the brushes out right after work, as dried acrylic only comes out of the hair with a cleaner. Close the jar with a clean rim and keep it warm; frost in transit can curdle the binder irreversibly.
