A resin model of a hydraulic loading cart in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Temp Models. This is the equipment with which the ground crew lifts heavy munitions up to the mounts under the wing. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory for an airfield scene. Printing in resin manages the frame, the lifting platform and the wheels in one piece.
Bombs and guided missiles weigh hundreds of kilograms, so nobody lifts them under an aircraft by hand. A cart with a platform worked by hydraulics is used for it: the munition is loaded onto it, wheeled under the mount, and the platform raises it to the height where the crew attaches it. In photographs from the preparation for flight this equipment is omnipresent, and in a diorama it explains at once what is going on around the aircraft.
Release the parts from the supports with a new blade over a working surface; the frame and the rams are thin. Sand the burrs off with fine abrasive paper, wet. Assemble the structure on a flat surface and glue it with cyanoacrylate. The hydraulic rams can be suggested with a polished metal paint, and the rest of the cart will take scuffed paint, oil stains and dust.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
