The landing gear legs for the MiG-29 1:32 are a 3D printed set of landing gear legs for a model of the MiG-29 in 1:32 scale, of a strong polymer with steel reinforcement.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set replaces the nose and main landing gear legs of a model of the MiG-29 in 1:32 scale. The legs are printed from a strong polymer and reinforced with steel pins, so they will carry the weight of a finished model. They capture the extended position with the lines, the landing light and the mudguard rendered. For the SMT version the manufacturer lists a separate set.
The MiG-29 was built for operation from unpaved surfaces as well, and the landing gear is adapted to that. The nose leg carries a pair of wheels and a pronounced mudguard, which keeps thrown-up stones out of the air intakes. The main legs retract into the fuselage and are fitted with sturdy struts. On a machine standing still the whole definition of lines and rods is clearly visible and it is among the most closely watched details of a model.
First wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a little dish soap, so that they are rid of the residue of printing resin. Cut the supports off with a sharp blade or a fine saw as close to the part as possible and sand the marks down with your airways protected. Resin does not bond with cement for polystyrene, so use cyanoacrylate glue. Lay a thin coat of primer on before painting, otherwise the paint holds poorly on a smooth print. Glue the steel-reinforced legs into a joint that has matured and let the model stand after assembly before you set it down on its wheels.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
