A lightened version of the water and dirt trap that is fitted between the compressor and the airbrush. The principle is the same as on the full versions: compressed air condenses in the compressor and water forms in the hose. It would otherwise travel all the way to the nozzle and spit into fresh paint, where it makes little craters and blotches and ruins the finish - the typical frustration of beginners who wonder why their airbrush spits. The trap catches the water and small dirt and oil before they reach the paint. Compared with the basic version it has a light aluminum body.

Use

• It is fitted to the airbrush; it matches the standard connector (1/8 inch thread, S).
• The light aluminum body puts less load on the hand and does not upset the balance of the airbrush during long spraying sessions.
• You drain the accumulated water as needed, and the filter element holds the dirt back.
• It is especially worthwhile in damp conditions and during longer continuous work, when condensation increases.

Who it is for

For modelers who are bothered by the weight of a trap fitted directly to the airbrush and want the lightest possible solution. It belongs to the Drain & Dust Catcher family together with the basic version, the II version and the II Light. Light means the lighter aluminum form; if you also want pressure regulation, look at the II Light variant.

An accessory for an airbrush, not a paint or a kit. Drain the accumulated water regularly and change the filter as needed, so that it stays effective.
