Mr. Masking Clay from the Japanese brand Gunze (Mr. Hobby) is a shapeable masking compound resembling modeling clay. It is not a paint and not a kit but an aid for masking while spraying. You shape the compound freely into irregular forms, press it onto the place you want to protect and so create a precise mask even where flat masking tape conforms badly. The compound does not stick and leaves no greasy residue on the surface once removed.
For modelers who spray with an airbrush and need to mask areas of demanding shape, where ordinary masking tape is not enough, typically on vehicles, aircraft and figures. It is welcome anywhere a clean and precisely shaped edge is needed.
