Mr. Surfacer 1000 from the manufacturer Gunze (GSI Creos / Mr. Hobby) is a liquid lacquer surfacer, that is a combination of filler and base coat in one. The bottle holds 40 ml. The number 1000 indicates the fineness of the grain: a medium fineness suitable for ordinary filling and for unifying the surface before the final paint. The product has a gray shade and creates an even flat base on which the following paints hold well and any surface flaws show up better.

Use

• filling fine grooves, scratches and small irregularities on plastic, resin and photo-etched parts
• creating a primer base that shows up surface flaws before the final coat
• unifying a surface made of different materials before painting
• applied with a brush straight onto small areas, or thinned with lacquer thinner and sprayed with an airbrush for a thin, smooth layer
• once dry it sands smooth easily
