MT606 Mr. Masking Tape Wide 50mm

Gunze Mr. Masking Tape Wide 50 mm

A wide modeling masking tape 50 mm wide from Gunze (Mr.Hobby). It serves to cover large areas at once, a whole wing, the side of a fuselage or a cabin, instead of laying many narrow strips side by side. Being a modeling tape it has a straight, sharp edge under which paint does not creep, and it is flexible, so it seats on shaped surfaces too.

Use

• Large areas at once: one strip covers an extensive area, which saves time and leaves no gaps between strips through which paint could creep.
• Combination with a narrow tape: a narrow tape (10 mm) creates a precise edge or outline, and the wide one then quickly fills the rest of the area.
• No creeping: a continuous strip has no joints, so the masking is tighter than one built up from narrow strips.
• Application: lay the tape under tension, press the edge down thoroughly and remove it at a sharp angle after spraying.

Who it is for

For modelers who need to cover large areas of a part quickly and reliably. An ideal companion to a narrow tape (for edges and outlines) and to masking fluid for irregular shapes; a sharp cutting knife helps in shaping the tape.

Masking tape is a consumable accessory, not a kit. Press the edge down before spraying so that paint does not creep under it.
