Meng Evangelion Test Type-01 Ver.1.5 - a plastic mecha kit

This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the licensed Evangelion Test Type-01 (EVA-01) mecha from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion by the manufacturer Meng. The model is of a striking size, reaching a height of around 47 cm once assembled, and is conceived as a collector's piece with a high degree of articulation. Thanks to easy assembly with color-separated parts and the technology of hidden gates, the model looks striking even without painting.

The real subject

The Evangelion Test Type-01 is the iconic purple and green mecha from the world of Neon Genesis Evangelion, piloted in the story by Shinji Ikari. The Ver.1.5 version follows the film form of the character and is among the popular subjects of Japanese pop culture.
